As part of the Fal River Festival which runs from May 23 to 31 2009, Falmouth Marine School and Cafe Scientifique at the Poly are running a conference looking at "Livings from the Sea - Activities in and around the Fal/Helford Special Area of Conservation".

Objectives of the event are:


  • Provide a forum for practitioners involved in the Fal/Helford SAC
  • Encourage the sharing of good practice between practitioners and students at Cornwall College/University College Falmouth
  • Articulate the objectives of the SAC to a wider audience through the Fal River Festival
  • Identify the diverse anthropocentric activity below the shoreline

Conference Date: Friday 29th May

Venue: Royal Cornwall Polytechnic Society, Falmouth (capacity 180)
